GET THE PICTURE - Mayan Caves & Relics

The Yucatan and Central America care covered with Cenotes and caverns, many with ceremonial altars, temples and sacrifices.  Below are images of actual caverns found in the region which illustrate passages within the Curse of Cortes'.  Especially notable in the bottom right are the five foot tall relief carvings of the Pulpul Vuh creation found buried at the temple of El Mirador (at least 6,000 years old, likely older).
